Virtual Scenes

Time for the VR future

There is much buzz around how far virtual reality is going to sink into the masses. Some people say the VR revolution is coming to stay, a few others think its popularity will banish before it takes hold. The one thing is true: There is a widespread awareness that unique virtual experiences are out there, and people are wondering and waiting for it to cross their path. Consumers are expecting at this time to experience and be wowed by their potential investments before making any decisions.

So, the thing is, no matter what happens with VR in the future, it is an impending truth that the design and construction industry will move promptly to the adaptation of VR rather than the opposite. Most larger firms are already using it in their marketing, so soon the market will not only accept it, but probably also demand it.

VR seems to be the next step in evolution, and it will change the way we understand the world.

Our quoting process

SRGB_Global+LowCC.jpg

Although we can give you approximate pricing for our services, we would always prepare a tailored economic proposal based on each project’s requirements.

We strongly believe that this is a more transparent and reliable communication that would lead both ends to a better understanding of the final outcome.

These are the requirements to prepare a proper quote for your project:

1.Blueprints & sketches to familiarize with the project: we request the Architectural Drawings (Site plan, Floorplans, elevations and/or sections) of the project in PDF or in Cad if possible. We also request any sketches or 3d renderings that you may have.

2.Quantity of images and/or views: the list of the spaces that you would like us to produce.

3.Additional requirements for quoting VR360: In case you need a quote for VR or interactive experience, indicate expected functionalities, goals and objectives.

Please note: Once the proposal is sent, our pricing may vary if the project’s requirements are modified before starting production.

How to choose and hire the right architectural renderer.

Why is this important?

Architectural rendering is used in the Real Estate and construction industry because it gives clients the chance to visualize and promote sales of any project, before even laying the first brick.

Who doesn't want to save effort, time and money?

Through architectural rendering, clients get an opportunity to make alterations at an early stage in the project. Sometimes it helps identifying potential faults and enhancements and making design modifications to the project at a very early stage, saving lots of company time and money, and more importantly, saving the client from being disappointed down the line.

That leads us to the critical task of choosing the right architectural renderer for your specific purposes and needs. This could get really daunting since as you can imagine,  the list of architectural rendering companies is HUGE (most amateurs, some pros) and you will find an extensive variety of pricing policies, product qualities and customer service experiences.

How do I make the right choice?

You may choose to spend time looking through 100’s of studios and independent offers out there, but we recommend asking yourselves these four questions before finally choosing what is best for your business:

1.   Do you like the architectural rendering style?

With so many different types of rendering quality out there,  you need to find the style and quality that fits what you expect.  If an image portfolio doesn't grab your attention immediately, then most likely it won’t grab your client’s attention either… we recommend you keep searching!

2.   Do you know who you are hiring?

Once you have viewed some great styles and portfolios, it’s important that you know and trust who you are hiring. You should expect a better outcome and obviously a better service, if you hire a provider that has experience, a good reputation and a client list that reassures you.

3.   Do they offer guarantee?

It’s very important the architectural rendering service you are evaluating offers a guarantee of the quality of the work, and that it will match the portfolio that they are advertising.

4.   Is that a good price?

Price is relative. This is something you will have to determine based on your budget and the type of service that fits what you need. Some architectural rendering services provide you with standardized quotes for standardized quality. We think, on the other hand that a tailored economic proposal based on each project’s requirements. is a more transparent and reliable communication that would lead both ends to a better understanding of the final outcome.

The choice is really yours, although we highly recommend you take these variables in account before making the choice to trust a rendering or 3D services provider.

Hopefully you find this useful, and hope to be able to serve you in the near future!

Our work processes

Bambu_Oficina_VerA_SRGB.jpg

Working with us is very easy.

The most effective and efficient way to work and communicate is via email and video conference. The standard process is straight-forward:

  1. In order to provide an economic proposal (quote), we request some information and documents  (we will blog about them in another post), and the list of the spaces that the client would like us to produce.
  2. The customer will receive the quote based on the specific characteristics of the project.
  3. In order to start production, we will kindly ask to send the signed proposal which will include the terms and conditions of the contracted service.
  4. Once the proposal is approved and all the requested design files are delivered, after 3 or 4 days (depending on the complexity of the project), we will begin sending images for review, comments or approval, so we can ensure that the product is consistent with vision (architecture, materials, textures, etc).
  5. The client sends written feedback by email, or better yet send written comments over the same images (using photoshop or any other similar software)… we could also coordinate a video conference or call.
  6. Client will receive the next set of low resolution images complete with feedback, furniture and details included.
  7. Regarding animated video, an additional approval step would be needed. We would send a low-res previsualization, so the client can have the feeling of how the story is being told. Once the still image and its pre-visualization is approved, we proceed to process final quality video of that scene.

  8. We finalize the project when our customer is 100% satisfied with the images / videos or VR scenes.
